1. Take the package of seeds. 
2. Fill a gallon-sized glass with distilled water or other nonchlorinated water. Add a small spoonful of molasses and a pinch of salt to the water. Stir the mixture with a clean wooden spoon until the salt dissolves. 
3. Hold the puffball seeds over the jar, open it and squeeze it. Brush the spores off into the water. Place the lid on the jar and put the jar in a place where it will be disturbed for two days. 
4. Pour the resulting slurry out on the lawn. Things You Will Need     Sharp knife
