This listing is for four 5LBS sterilized All in One mushroom grow bags. Containing two pounds of rye grain and three pounds of our unique blend of mushroom compost with injection port for mushroom cultivation. Just add your favorite liquid culture and grow right in the bag. Each bag has a 0.5 micron filter for safe air exchange in the bag environment. Learn to grow mushrooms right at home. Our kit is excellent for Loin’s Mane ( Hericium erinaceus ), Wine Cap ( King Stropharia, Stropharia rugosoannulatta ), Shiitake ( Lentinila edodes ), Maitake ( Grifola frondosa ), Oyster ( Pleuotus sp. all varieties ) and Chicken of the Woods ( Laetiporus cincinnatus ). It is best to clean the kit and injection site with alcohol and to work in a sterile or the cleanest environment possible before injecting. Inject around 2-4 ccs of liquid culture solution through the self healing injection port (the grey square at the bottom of the kit). Use guidelines as far as temperature, humidity, and duration for the spices of mushrooms you have chosen. You can fruit in the bag or in a terrarium. Always keep in mind sterile practices when transferring your colonized spawn. Unsterile conditions increases the fail rate. Make sure when fruiting in the bag to allow colonization as near to 100% as possible before fruiting to ensure a healthy harvest. Identify environmental factors before choosing a location for growing ( ie windows, HVAC ) so that you can be sure to stay clear of anything that would keep your mushrooms from thriving and giving you a healthy flush.
