Maitake (Grifola Frondosa) can be recognized by numerous fleshy, shapeless-wavy, small hats, wedge-shaped narrowed into a leg. The upper part of the legs and the lower side of the caps are covered with a spore-like shallow-tube layer; the color of the outer surface varies from gray-greenish to gray-pink tones. Tubules located on the bottom surface of hats are short, 2-4 mm, downward.
